Ava Philippe, The Libertines, Wiz Khalifa and other celebrities attend Celine’s Men’s Winter Show in Paris.
New York Fashion Week may be in full swing here but let’s take a moment to look at the Celine Winter 23 Men’s show that just happened in Paris this Friday just gone. Hedi Slimane took his audience to the iconic nightclub Le Palace. A place that is dear to Slimane where he spend most of his youth and where he celebrated his 50th birthday, Le Palace. In the 70s, Le Palace was the French version of New York’s Studio 54 where icons such as Yves Saint Laurent, Grace Jones, Karl Lagerfeld, Andy Warhol and so forth all enjoyed masked balls, live performances and where the private club in the basements was accessible only to le prividége. Music always plays a big inspiration in his vision, this season, Slimane pays tribute to the New York cult band, Suicide, formed in 1977 by Alan Vega and Martin, this band still inspires the youth of today in the music scene. Tight black leather pants are a stapled in his Celine and paired with rhinestone jackets, oversized shearling cashmere coats in leopard and tiger prints, leather on leather and of course cropped flared pant suits. For the girls, there were strapless gold sequin dresses, long black shimmery black dress worn with an oversized blazer and biker leather jackets paired with slogan T-shirts and we are here for it all!
