Megan Thee Stallion, Parris Goebel, and more star in the brand’s latest campaign.
Who else but Nike could gather up the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, choreographer Parris Goebel, and AMBUSH designer Yoon Ahn in one room? For their latest campaign, Boundless Expression, the brand wanted to celebrate powerful, iconic women both in the sports and design worlds. “We want everyone to be able to realize their best selves across mind, body and life. [Women] and girls are leading change in all facets of society, and we want to be her biggest champion,” says Liz Weldon, VP of Nike Global Women’s Brand Management, in a press release.
Adding to the impressive roster, Nike also amassed athletes across disciplines like track and field stars Anna Cockrell and Tatyana McFadden, soccer notables Crystal Dunn and Young-Ju Lee, plus swimmers Stephanie Au and Liu Xiang, and the WNBA’s Sabrina Ionescu. Also in the mix are Nike’s own trainers like Tunde Oyeneyin, who has her own massive Peloton following, as well as Kirsty Godso, who you’ve also probably seen on your social media feeds. Also notable? The inclusion of Betina Gozo, a trainer and athlete who is visibly pregnant and proudly showing off her belly.
Dynamic and colorful, the images which were styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and shot by Renell Medrano, highlight the ways style and wellness plays a huge role in these women’s lives. “I love movement in all forms where it’s dancing, drawing, cutting fabric, or draping a mannequin, it inspires me. I can’t just sit for a whole day,” says designer Feng Cheng Wang.
