Dior Takes Over Saks Fifth Avenue’s Holiday Windows

This year, a dreamy, larger than life display decorates the flagship.

Winter jackets were donned this week and Mariah Carey playlists are cued up on Spotify, so that can only mean one thing: the holiday season is here. And the best way to tell that the festive spirit has officially touched down in New York are the shops decked out in decorations. This year, for the first time, Dior takes over the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue. The department store is known for their iconic holiday displays and their partnership with the French fashion house is equally as big, with a giant wheel of fortune that adorns nearly all of the flagship’s ten stories. The wheel, decorated with celestial symbols, a clover, flora, and Zodiac signs, is inspired by a motif designed by the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo for Dior’s cruise 2024 collection. In the evenings, in the Saks tradition, the installation will illuminate Fifth Avenue in a beautiful light show.

To formally kick off the holiday season the two hosted a cocktail party and lighting ceremony, taking over Fifth Avenue. The evening began with a dance performance followed by a brief speech by Jennifer Lawrence, where she charmingly reacted to her belt popping off. That scene subsequently went viral on social media. Dior and Saks also welcomed an array of celebrity guests like Rachel Ziegler, Ashley Park, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more. See below for a look at the larger than life installation as well as highlights from last night.
