Plus spring ads from Burberry, DKNY, and DSquared2.
New York fashion week wrapped up on Tuesday and now we have an extended break before it resumes in London next Thursday. While it might be fall 2025 on the runways, spring is in the air and with it comes more ad campaigns. Burberry looked to British rom-coms for their latest campaign, with the likes of Kate Winslet, Nicholas Hoult, and Naomi Campbell among the cast. Speaking of actors, Adrian Brody is back, this time as the face of J.Crew Men’s while DKNY tapped into Lila Moss’ main character energy. Meanwhile at DSquared2, they toyed with the idea of duality — fitting since the brand’s founders are twins.
Read on to learn more and catch up on what else you might have missed.
Burberry Loves a Romcom
For their summer 2025 campaign, It’s Always Burberry Weather: London in Love, Burberry chose a heartwarming homage to classic British rom-com. Featuring a star-studded cast including Kate Winslet, Nicholas Hoult, Naomi Campbell, and Jodie Turner-Smith, the ad celebrates the unpredictable charm of London’s weather and the brand’s iconic trench coat. Through seven short films, you’ll see reimagined romantic tropes with a playful twist, blending heritage styles with innovative silhouettes for summer. Burberry’s stores are also being transformed with wisteria-covered windows and lime-washed interiors, reflecting the lightness and beauty of London in the summertime.
UGG and AMBUSH Take Us Back to School
No one takes schoolgirl tropes and makes them fresh and subversive quite like Yoon, the creative director of AMBUSH. For her collaboration with UGG, the two worked on two academic uniform-inspired styles, a penny loafer and a pair of Mary Janes, both trimmed in sheepskin. For the latter, you’ll find it black and burgundy while the latter is available in pink or white. To bring the shoes to life, the accompanying ad campaign highlights a fictional talent show from start to finish. As always the kids are cool, albeit not by conventional high school standards. Through the course of the interconnected vignettes you’re instantly transported back to adolescence — both the good and the bad. The collection drops on February 21st at UGG, AMBUSH, and select retailers.
DKNY Taps Lila Moss
Like mother like daughter: Lila Moss is the face of DKNY after Kate fronts the Donna Karan campaign. True to the brand’s tradition, it focuses on New York City and pays homage to the famous movies and backgrounds that make the city iconic. Shot by Mikael Jansson, Moss transforms herself into an NYC local, the main character in her own coming-of-age story in the city that never sleeps. Featuring looks like a chunky striped polo paired with denim shorts or a pinstripe suit, it’s a new generation of city cool. The spring 2025 collection will be out on February 13th globally online and in select stores.
Adrian Brody is J.Crew’s Newest Face
It’s shaping up to be a busy spring for Adrian Brody. Beyond the awards circuit for his work in The Brutalist, the actor is also making the fashion rounds fronting the COS spring 2025 campaign and sitting front row at Thom Browne. The latest addition to his resume? Serving as J.Crew’s latest face for their spring menswear collection. The campaign highlights Brody’s signature elegance through timeless pieces that reimagine American tailoring. Rooted in individuality and self-expression, the collection pays homage to J.Crew’s legacy of approachable fashion. For Brody, whose connection to the brand dates back to his high school days, this collaboration is a celebration of classic style with a modern twist.
DSquared2 Explores Duality
With a spring 2025 runway show that was equal parts a traditional presentation and a cabaret performance, DSquared2 explored the idea of dualities — hard meets soft, masculine meets feminine, and gentle versus powerful. It’s fitting then that their accompanying campaign is also a clash of contrasts. Photographed by Andrea Artemisio, the minimalist portraits set in a stark gray studio spotlight the models, each holding symbolic objects – a rose, apple, or candle – hinting at themes of ritual and romance.
Louis Vuitton’s Synaesthesia-Inspired Collection
Bursting with kaleidoscopic colours, the Louis Vuitton spring 2025 men’s collection drew from the enigmatic phenomenon of synaesthesia. A rare sensory condition that causes an overlap in the senses, one who has it might be able to taste and smell colors or see smells and flavors. For men’s creative director Pharrell Williams, it’s the ability to hear colors as musical notes. Springboarding off of this sensation, Williams’ created a collection that sought to translate music into both color and silhouette across styles that slot in somewhere between preppiness and streetwear. A hypnotic, watercolor rain mac was a particular standout. Bedecked all over with LV’s monograms, the weather-proof jacket was styled with knee-length camel shorts, chunky skate trainers, a black bucket hat and a miniature chartreuse duffel bag. The final jacket in the offering was another great number. Cut like a car coat with bold LV logos on front-facing pockets, it’s paired with dapper monogram shorts and a simple, button-up shirt.
Adidas Originals Launches A-Type
Over the last few years, the Adidas Sambas have reigned supreme as the cool girl sneaker but the brand’s latest collection is about to change that. A-TYPE, which launched during New York Fashion Week, reimagines iconic designs like the Superstar sneaker, Firebird tracksuit, and Airliner bag with craftsmanship and luxurious materials. Handmade in Italy, the A-TYPE Superstar features leather details, cashmere laces, and silver-plated accents, while the Firebird tracksuit takes on a sleek leather finish. Accompanied by sterling silver Trefoil jewelry, this collection offers an elevated take on streetwear. To accompany, a campaign shot by Gabriel Moses features the likes of talent that bridge the worlds of sport, fashion, entertainment, and music including DJ Hank Korsan, Pusha T, Tyshawn Jones, Selena Forrest, Fiffany Luu and Paloma Elsesser. Currently you can only get it if you’re among the brand’s select family and friends but expect drops to come in the near future.
Lacoste’s New Kicks Are Made to Move
Speaking of sneakers, Lacoste just released a new style. Called the L003 Neo Shot Sneaker, it’s the latest in their L003 series, which first appeared on the runway as a concept shoe. The latest iteration draws from running with details like a breathable mesh upper and chunky sole that offers grip, stability, and cushioning. As always, the brand’s signature crocodile makes an appearance. To highlight its athletic capabilities, Lacoste tapped Nicolas Huchard, a choreographer known for his work with Lady Gaga and Madonna, and Xiaoyuu Li, a model, dancer, and artist. Captured in mid-movement, the two highlights the dynamic possibilities when wearing the shoes. Available in eight colors from bright green to sedate black, they’re available now online.
Cecilie Bahnsen and ASICS are Back
To round out the designer sneaker news comes the latest from Cecilie Bahnsen and Asics. The two have been partners since 2023 and the newest iteration riffs on the GEL[1]TERRAIN™ MT. First debuting last September at the brand’s spring 2025 show in Paris, the two styles get the Bahnsen treatment. The first order of business? Transforming the low top into a mid-top. From there, the designer adds her signature feminine touches. One style has a shiny, quilted upper with floral embroidery layered under a semi-transparent overlay and includes a neoprene sock interior for comfort. As for the other, it features a rain cover and floral patches that let the Asics signature stripes peek through. They pre-launched yesterday on the brand’s site with a global release slated for February 28th.
Atelier Victoria’s Secret x Altuzarra is Here
After debuting at the Victoria’s Secret show last fall, the Atelier Victoria’s Secret x Altuzarra collection launches this month. Consisting of 11 styles, designer Joseph Altuzarra focused on classic pieces like a blazer, button up, slip dress, and trousers. But being that it’s VS, lingerie-inspired details are scattered throughout. Case in point: a satin coat that includes crystal-encrusted bra straps sewn into the lining so that it can be worn off the shoulder. Another three-piece set has hook-and-eye closures that call back to bras, and can be worn deliberately undone. Naturally where there are clothes there also must be lingerie. In tandem with the release, images from the Very Sexy intimates collection also dropped today. Styled by Emmanuelle Alt, it includes the likes of Devyn Garcia and Imaan Hammam in an assortment of corsets, bras, and more. You’ll find the Atelier Victoria’s Secret x Altuzarra collection available online on February 20th. Expect further collections to come this year.
