Sun, surf, and sand must be the only thing on everyone’s mind at the moment because Chanel Coco Beach is in stores while both Prada and Bottega Veneta opened their doors in the Hamptons and Montecito respectively. Even the beauty world is not immune to the allure of the ocean, as Zara Hair and Guido Palau are back for a third time with, you guessed it, a beachy hair collection. Meanwhile, June is also Pride month and in honor of the occasion, Diesel is back with their third Tom of Finland collaboration. And also in the collab world comes Shopbop and 3.1 Phillip Lim’s capsule collection, which hits stores this week.

Read on to learn more and catch up on what else you might have missed.

Prada is Back in the Hamptons

Out east and looking to do some shopping? Here’s another boutique reopening to add to your list as Prada’s East Hampton shop on 2 Newton Lane, is back for the season. Spanning 1600 feet, the sleek exterior gives way to an interior that features ivory and red carpets, matching walls, and large windows. You’ll find the pieces from the May Issue 2024 collection as well as shoes, bags, and more all in beach ready designs including florals, wicker, and crochet — all ideal for a summer by the sea.

Bottega Veneta Opens at the Rosewood Miramar Beach

Speaking of beach boutiques, Bottega Veneta has a new location in Montecito, California, steps away from the town’s luxurious Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel. The new space draws inspiration from Mediterranean coastal architecture with Venetian marmorino plaster being an integral part of the design. The space also features Palladiana terrazzo, slabs of stones made with a technique commonly seen in grand villas, as well as teak wood elements and white terracotta tiles. You’ll find a large array of the brand’s pieces there including an exclusive made-to-order program.

Diesel Celebrates Pride Month

For the third year Diesel is working with the Tom Finland Foundation to celebrate Pride month. Featuring an erotic artist competition and activities around the world, it’s in honor of the 40th anniversary of the organization. Besides the annual Tom of Finland Art and Culture Festival in Berlin’s Halle am Berghain, there are also activations in Fire Island, Helsinki, and Tokyo, culminating in Los Angeles at Tom’s house. As for the capsule collection itself, it consists of 24 pieces featuring works by artists like Stuart Sanford, Suzanne Shifflett, among others as prints and patchworks on pieces ranging from t-shirts to jockstraps to jackets. Sabato de Sarno’s First Gucci’s Men Campaign is Here

For Sabato de Sarno’s first Gucci men’s campaign, the fall winter 2024 ads highlight the different personalities that reflect de Sarno’s direction for the brand. Captured by David Sims, the minimal portraits are a nod to human expression where every glance and gesture represent a story that has yet to be told. With a cast including models Clément Chabernaud and George Barnett, who have both been on the brand’s runway since the 2000s, alongside new faces, it’s a reflection of both the Gucci of the past as well as present. Styling is personal, highlighting wardrobe staples as a reflection of the individual and reflects a simpler, more timeless direction for the brand.

Flower Mountain Goes From Forest to City

Seven years after gorpcore was introduced into the style lexicon, the meshing of sporty and outdoor with urban wear isn’t going anywhere soon. One brand that’s embodying the mountain meets city aesthetic? Japanese meets Italian shoe label Flower Mountain, who just launched their new spring summer 2024 campaign, RELOAD. Featuring street-cast models that highlight the versatility of the sneakers, the images go from strolling the streets of New York City to the skateparks and beyond. Made with a mix of materials and utilizing sashiko, a form of decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan, the colorful styles reflect the landscape and vibrancy of Tokyo yet look right at home regardless of where they’re worn.

Jackson Wang is Joopiter’s Latest Auction Collaborator

Joopiter, Pharrell Williams’ digital auction house, has announced their latest collaborator: Chinese artist Jackson Wang. Titled Jackson Wang Metamorphosis: Athlete – Musician – Designer, it features pieces from his personal journey from fencer to chart-topping musician to record label founder. Among the lots up for auction include a custom Louis Vuitton jacket and vest from his Magic Man world tour, a behind-the-scenes music video experience, and fencing items. Chanel Hits the Beach

Embark on a sun-soaked journey with Chanel’s Coco Beach 2024 collection, captured through the lens of Cass Bird and featuring model Olivia Vinten amidst coastal scenes. From swimwear to shorts to elegant denim pairings, the pieces are summer personified. Key pieces to note include a golden asymmetric one-piece with a jewel fastening at the back as well as a striped version that nods to sailor tops favored by Gabrielle Chanel. Other styles include a striped jumpsuit, coated canvas park, and openwork shorts, all in the brand’s signature two-tone aesthetic. Also in the mix are playful accessories like big beach towels, a woven raffia-effect tote bag, denim belt bag, and more.

Burberry Kicks It With Two Footballers

What’s more summer in England than football? For Burberry, that’s the perfect fodder for their latest image series. Combining fashion, football, and British heritage, the shots feature national team members Phil Foden and Eberechi Eze. Clad in the latest collections, the two discuss how the sport has impacted their lives, including the chance to work with Burberry. For Eze, the partnership is meaningful, as the brand has supported his foundation which provides career and educational opportunities for children in London while Foden is thrilled to represent his hometown of Stockport alongside an iconic British label.

Zara’s Third Hair Drop is All About Beachy Vibes

After their holiday drop at the end of 2023 and their everyday basics launch earlier this year, Zara Hair and Guido Palau’s partnership continues with their newest collection. Called Undone, it’s three products for when you want that perfectly imperfect summer style. There’s the Air Dry Foam which can be combed into damp hair before hair drying to enhance natural texture. The Sea Spray is a mist that adds volume, definition, and texture. And to round it out is the Wet Look Mousse, for when you want a shiny, slick finish. Find the products online and in stores now.

Shopbop and 3.1 Phillip Lim Launch an Exclusive Collection

2024 is shaping up to be a busy year for 3.1 Phillip Lim as the brand celebrates their 20th anniversary this September. Besides the Pride campaign, they’re also partnering up with Shopbop on an exclusive collection. Featuring 8 pieces co-designed with the online retailer’s fashion director Caroline Maguire, it marks the first time that Maguire dipped a toe in the design world. The result are styles that reflect New York’s cool downtown aesthetic, where Lim and Maguire now live, with the West Coast, where they both grew up. You’ll find collegiate-inspired tops, bottoms, dresses, and skirts. In conjunction with this collab, a donation will be made to Creating Space, an organization co-founded by Lim that creates a safe space for Asian Americans of all generations to share their mental health stories and experiences.
