Chanel’s Spring Ads Celebrate the Grand Palais

Last September Chanel made their grand return to the Grand Palais, where the brand has held many of their iconic shows. Within the refurbished space, a grand birdcage and swing took center stage and it’s this set up that informs their new spring/summer 2025 ready-to-wear campaign. Shot by Inez & Vinoodh, the campaign is all about motion and freedom and stars models Amar Akway, Libby Bennett, Ella Mccutcheon and Nigina Sharipova. Key looks include a tweed trouser suit along with a matching 11.12 bag inspired by the architecture of the Grand Palais. You’ll also find classic styles mixed with unexpected plays on details and texture like a white jacket worn with a wraparound skirt, or a jacket with a Peter Pan collar teamed with bermuda shorts. Honing in on the concept of lightness, chiffon is a common material throughout the collection, whether it’s a flowing light blue cape that billows when worn on a swing or another cape covered in crystals and feathers. For accessory lovers, the two-tone platform heels in metallic leather and sequin bags are sure to be a hit. Find it all in stores now.

Louis Vuitton x Murakami Are Back

Just in time for sakura season, Louis Vuitton × Murakami are bringing in spring with a tribute to Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms. Celebrating 20 years since their collaboration, the collection features Takashi Murakami’s signature Cherry Blossom motif on over 40 Louis Vuitton creations, from city bags like the Speedy 25 to silk carrés and even bespoke travel trunks. With vibrant pink petals on the iconic Monogram canvas, the collection radiates optimism. Even the Spell on You perfume joins the celebration, dressed in the playful motif for a seasonal special.

And now that oeuvre has been captured by the likes of Loïc Prigent. Titled Her Dior, the documentary highlights Chiuri’s mission to promote art and was released last week on YouTube in honor of International Women’s Day. The 73-minute film takes us through the Creative Director’s journey from her native Rome to present day and the women who have influenced along the way. You’ll find appearances by curators and historians like Maria Alicata, Paola Ugolini, Elena Del Drago, Anne Pasternak and Rachele Regini, her daughter in addition to a look back at her friendship with Karishma Swali, the director of the Chanakya ateliers and the Chanakya School of Craft. Uniqlo U Imagines a Gentle Spring

Fans of Uniqlo know that when Uniqlo U hits stores every season, it tends to sell out quickly. And spring 2025 is no different as co-artistic directors Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran are offering a softer, more gentle take on warm weather dressing. With an emphasis on pastel colors and silhouettes that offer easy movements, they’re designed to be mixed, matched, and layered. In shades like cream, yellow, gray, and white, you’ll also find pops of purple courtesy of the denim Bermuda shorts as well as the shoulder bag. Utility, always a big part of Uniqlo’s pieces, can be seen in the men’s hooded blouson as well as the women’s coat, with both featuring adjustable hoods made for fickle spring temps while the sheer tees use lightweight cotton. Shop it all when it launches on March 20th.

A Sonic Saint Laurent Rive Droite Collection

Music and Saint Laurent go hand in hand and nowhere is that more evident than in their partnership with Bang & Olufsen. The two announced their fifth joint creation this month. Under the direction of Anthony Vaccarello, they’ve re-imagined the Beogram 4000 Series Turntable. The 2025 edition features 10 restored turntables, now dubbed Beogram 4000c, modernized for contemporary use. Combining technicality, design, and legacy, each is housed in a solid ziricote wood case, with its own number, aluminum finishings, and logo.
