The Italian-inspired runway, “La Grande Bellezza” raised scholarship funds for the next generation of fashion creatives.
You might be familiar with the likes of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York or Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, but perhaps less so with Instituto Marangoni Miami. The Florida-based school has been nurturing generations of design talent for the last eight years. On May 20th, the institution staged “La Grande Bellezza”, its third annual fashion show and most ambitious one to date, transforming the Jungle Plaza into an Italian streetscape with the energy of Miami.
“La Grande Bellezza” serves as a celebration of emerging talent and a commitment to the future of fashion education, featuring the final collections of Istituto Marangoni Miami’s graduating fashion design students, spotlighting a new generation of creatives. Inspired by Italian artistry, the show embraced intricate textures, tailoring, and experimentation, demonstrating why the city continues to rise as a global center for contemporary design.
But that’s not all! As the school’s primary annual fundraiser, the event also supports scholarships through the Miami Fashion Foundation, helping aspiring designers gain access to education and industry opportunities. Surrounded by fashion insiders, celebrities, stylists, and journalists, the students debuted their work to an audience witnessing the next wave of talent shaping the industry. Take a look at the students and their designs from “La Grande Bellezza” below.
