New year, new era.
It’s been a mere six months since Jonathan Anderson first showcased his vision for Dior, at the brand’s spring 2026 runway presentation during Paris men’s fashion week. Well-received for his ability to mix archival references with a sense of modernity, Anderson followed up with an equally as successful women’s collection in October. And today, the first pieces from said debuts are now available in stores. Formally called women’s spring summer 26 Wave 0 and men’s summer 2026 collections, you’ll find plucked from the runway pieces alongside interpretations that feel more appropriate for the everyday.
Over on the women’s side, highlights include sporty striped polos paired with delicate floral skirts, embroidered knits, and military-inspired shirting. Being that Anderson’s career has produced a series of popular handbags, the same can be said for his plans for Dior. First seen on the runway, the brand’s classic Book Tote goes literal, with motifs that draw from the cover of titles ranging from Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The Bow bag, a new creation, is destined to be the style of the moment with its sweet shape and an array of colorways including plenty of pastel hues. As for the shoes? Except the same whimsical, surreal touch in the form of slides covered in four-leaf clovers, lace-trimmed sneakers, and two-toned bow adorned pumps.
For menswear, highlights include plenty of straight from the runway pieces including pleated long shorts as inspired by Christian Dior’s Delft dress, riffs on the Bar jacket, herringbone capes, and prep-school style shirting and ties. As for shoes, while it might be too early for the fisherman sandals to hit stores, the Roadie sneaker has arrived and will likely be spotted on every cool Dior boy this year. And speaking of the new titles on the Book Tote, you’ll see Dracula go from bag to backs of bombers while Charles Baudelaire’s Fleur du Mal can be seen on a reversible jacket and a button down.
To accompany the new collection hitting stores comes a global campaign shot by David Sims. The co-ed images feature the likes of actors Greta Lee, Louis Garrel, and Paul Kircher as well as footballer Kylian Mbappe and models Laura Kaiser, Sunday Rose, and Saar Mansvelt, a dream Dior clique. Created as a character study, the photos are spare and simple, implying an aristocratic setting with a focus on the silhouette and textures of their looks. If this is just the beginning, we can’t wait to see what else Anderson has in store for us.
