Ten Picks The Best Pre-Collections

Burberry

For pre-spring 2025, Burberry is all about texture. Under the helm of creative director Daniel Lee, the offering features an eclectic assortment of plush velvet, waxed leather and fluffy faux furs. Asymmetric hemlines, zip-up trousers and wide-set belts add an element of ‘90s flare, whilst the colour palette is muted and mainly subdued, lending itself to the perfect pre-spring wardrobe. Dsquared2

Dsquared2’s pre-spring 2025 collection draws inspiration from the great outdoors, with both the men’s and women’s offerings focussing on denim and cargo as a nod to Canada’s sprawling landscape. With the menswear having more of a western twang through shirt silhouettes and buckled belts, the womenswear is edited with an urban vision in mind, including cropped bra tops and leather strapless dresses. Both have options for the evening – sleek suits for the men and sheer blouses and draping gowns for the women. Dsquared2 for every occasion! BK

Louis Vuitton

Pharrell Williams’ is targeting dog lovers with his latest men’s pre-spring/summer collection for Louis Vuitton. Opting for garments of the casual streetwear variety for 2025, the theme of the collection is rooted in the prep-heavy codes expressed at dog shows. Punctuating loose-fitting jackets and baggy trousers are dog heads that are emblazoned onto blousons and paws are integrated into Williams’ LVERS logo. Fluffy animal print slippers are also on offer, as are damier check leads. An ode to humans who look like their dogs, black berets and bandanas come sized for both humans and their furry friends. Stylish and adorable – what more could you want? BK

Loewe

Jonathan Anderson’s playful flare continues to delight, with his autumn/winter 2024 pre-collection for Loewe being no exception to the rule. Opting for an exploration of scale and proportion, the silhouettes displayed in the collection feature oversized bows, baggy jackets and wide, loose-fitting jeans. Classic bags like the Puzzle have been reimagined as slightly softer and slouchier, whilst other staples like the Hammock reappear too. Navys and browns are punctuated with peachy oranges and plum purples for that signature dash of Loewe zest. Accompanying the collection is a campaign shot by regular collaborator Juergen Teller, featuring brand ambassadors like Dan Levy and Kit Connor. BK

CHLOE

Chloé‘s pre-fall 2025 collection is bringing back the house’s delicate bohemian energy. With this collection, creative director Chemena Kamali nodded to Karl Lagerfeld’s commitment creating the effortless and unmistakable style of the ‘Chloé girl’ as well as Phoebe Philo‘s softer designs from her time at the house. Inspired by Lagerfeld’s 1970’s home in Paris’ Place Saint-Sulpcie, the looks feature art-deco embellishments and a return to the glamorous era of Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick. A stunning intersection between Parisian and New York fashion, the collection features both skinny jeans and preppy school shorts. Swishing bell sleeves and maxi skirts to highlight the opulence and elegance of Lagerfeld’s apartment were paired with leather fringe and knee high pirate boots for a subtle edge. The perfect capsule collection for any 70’s enthusiast, it was a beautiful ode to the rich history of the brand. Zein Karam
