Brad Pitt, Taylor Russel, and Hoyeon Jung were among our favorites at the two-week event.
Before the chaos of New York Fashion Week, the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Toronto Film Festival kick in fully, there’s one more major red carpet courtesy of the Venice Film Festival. Featuring major film premieres and equally memorable moments, it’s become as important for fashion as Cannes. Whether it be Luca Guadagino’s new film, Queer, which follows the success of his hit summer movie Challengers, or Brad Pitt going red-carpet official with his new girlfriend, along with a double date with George Clooney, the Venice Film Festival was one to remember. Designers like Loewe and Chanel dominated the red carpet, but there were other standouts too.
See our 10 favorite looks below.
1. HOYEON JUNG IN LOUIS VUITTON
After starring in Squid Games, Hoyeon Jung sticks to the red theme in a dazzling off-the-shoulder dress by Louis Vuitton, which also matches the red carpet.
2. TAYLOR RUSSEL IN VINTAGE CHANEL
Straying away from her Loewe family, actress Taylor Russel kicked off the festival by wearing this archival Chanel look from 1993.
3. SOPHIA WILDE IN LOEWE
One of the best looks from the festival was when the Australian actress walked the carpet in this black Loewe dress.
4. LOUIS PARTRIDGE IN PRADA
After going red carpet official with his singer girlfriend Olivia Rodrigo, the British actor posed in a suit from Prada with matching sunglasses, of course.
5. NCUTI GATWA IN EMPORIO ARMANI
The Sex Education star looks like The Matrix in this all-black suit and matching jacket by Emporio Armani, which ranks as one of the best men’s looks from the festival.
6. AMAL CLOONEY in VERSACE
It’s date night for the Clooneys! Amal Clooney emulates a modern-day Belle of the Ball in a sequined yellow Versace gown, stealing the spotlight away from her husband.
7. EMMA CORRIN IN MIU MIU
Consider this an extension of brat summer as Emma Corrin wears a head-to-toe green Miu Miu look.
8. TILDA SWINTON IN ALAÏA
Tilda Swinton in this all-white draped Alaïa dress at Luca Guadagino’s Queer premiere is a classic yet chic look that you’d come to expect from the actress.
9. LADY GAGA IN DIOR
Before flashing her engagement ring to the cameras with her fiancé Michael Polanksy, the singer and actress caught everyone’s attention in this sleeveless Dior gown, with a black lace headpiece to match at the premiere of her new film Joker: Folie à Deux.
10. BRAD PITT IN SCHIAPARELLI
The actor went red carpet official with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, in this timeless Schiaparelli suit at the premiere of his new film Wolfs.
