Dior Lands in Dallas
Highland Park Village, get ready for some last-minute holiday shopping as Dior’s latest location in Dallas is now open. Inspired by the brand’s 30 Montaigne flagship location, you’ll find separate entrances for the menswear and womenswear offerings. Spanning two floors, there’s ample room for spacious shopping across ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, and accessories. Over on the women’s side, the decor includes Versailles parquet wooden floors that perfectly complement the white and gold interiors. On the men’s side, off-white walls and oak floors are accented with navy and gray furniture. For those who love Dior’s homewares, a Maison area is also available, with a curated selection of pieces from the permanent collection. Jewelry and watch lovers should head straight to the second floor while those seeking a bespoke experience will enjoy a private VIP salon, with walls covered in pink toile de Jouy wallpaper. And finally, for those seeking a culinary experience, a café is coming in 2025.
Tiffany & Co’s Titanic Acquisition
The Heart of the Ocean necklace might not be real, but another valuable historic piece of Titanic memorabilia is most certainly genuine. Tiffany & Co. announced this week that they’ve acquired a historic 18k gold pocket watch from 1912 for $1.97 million, setting a record as the highest-valued artifact ever sold. The timepiece was a gift of gratitude from three Titanic survivors, Mrs. Madeleine Astor, Mrs. Marian Thayer, and Mrs. Eleanor Widener, to Captain Arthur Rostron of the R.M.S. Carpathia, who saved nearly 700 passengers after the ship’s tragic sinking. Inscribed with heartfelt thanks and Captain Rostron’s monogram, the watch was originally purchased through Tiffany & Co., making its return a full-circle moment over a century later.
