10 Things You Might Have Missed This Week: Goodbye Summer 2025

Givenchy’s fall campaign stars real creative women, Prada brings back the Toblach sneaker, and more.

As you’re reading this you’re likely squeezing out the last bits of what summer has to offer, enjoying a long holiday weekend. But on Tuesday? Back to reality as fashion month looms. Before that gets underway comes a slew of new ads, all packed with plenty of star power. For Givenchy fall 2025, Sarah Burton decided to tap the models and female creatives that she felt embody the brand from Kaia Gerber to Camilla Nickerson to Collier Schorr. Over at Longines, Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence fronts their revamped PrimaLuna line of watches while Gentle Monster decided to tap Tilda Swinton for their futuristic line of eyewear. And proof that yet again, we’re living in a Y2K resurgence comes Paris Hilton, who stars in Karl Lagerfeld’s latest campaign.

Read on to learn more and catch up on what else you might have missed.

Givenchy’s Fall Campaign is a Multi-Generation Celebration of Womanhood

For Sarah Burton’s debut collection for Givenchy, the designer made it clear that she wanted to highlight femininity in all forms. “I want to address everything about modern women. Strength, vulnerability, emotional intelligence, feeling powerful or very sexy. All of it,” she said. It’s no surprise then that her first ad campaign continues that same idea. Photographed by Collier Schorr, the images celebrate multi-generational womanhood by spotlighting models like Adut Akech, Kaia Gerber, and Liu Wen, alongside Burton’s longtime collaborators, including stylist Camilla Nickerson and makeup artist Lucia Pieroni. Capturing candid gestures, laughter, and conversation in eye-catching outfits and silhouettes, the photos reflect Burton’s vision of authenticity, creativity, and the spirit of being a woman.

Alaia’s Haunting, Cinematographic Take on Fall

For Alaïa’s summer fall 2025 campaign, creative director Pieter Mulier looked to cinema to inform their first campaign to be conceived as both stills and film. Shot entirely outdoors on the northern shores of France, Tyrone and Frank Lebon captured models Loli Bahia and Nastassia Legrand as modern heroines — powerful and timeless against the stark backdrop. Clad in hoods, as a nod to haunting portraits seen in Flemish portraiture, the black and white photos also evoke undertones of 19th-century literature and classic films. With references like Jane Campion’s The Piano and Lars von Trier’s Breaking the Waves, all favorites dear to Mulier, it’s a strong and modern take on femininity.

Louis Vuitton Opens a Beauty Pop-Up in New York City

Curious about Louis Vuitton’s new beauty line La Beauté Louis Vuitton? If you’re in New York City from now through the end of the year, you’ll be able to check it out in person with their new pop-up in Soho. Located at 104 Prince Street, the bold red space draws inspiration from the LV Rouge lipsticks, LV Baume lip balms, and LV Ombres eyeshadow palettes. Upon entry you’ll be greeted with a curved entryway that has 48 screens. Inside, a Monogram-flower shaped makeup station displays the full range of products while four orb-like mirrors offer ample opportunity to not see the shades against your skin but also take the requisite selfies as well. Should you prefer a more digital approach, there’s a virtual try-on room while a makeup consultation space will have stylists offering personal guidance. The Look Room allows guests to take a survey, with the results displayed in personalized lightboxes. Finally, for those who are curious about the Beauty Station Trunk, one will be on display.

Prada Brings Back the Toblach Sneaker

In a summer defined by freaky footwear like Vibram’s five finger shoes and New Balance’s sneaker meets loafer, it looks like adding an unexpected touch to your look is here to stay. For fall 2025 Prada is re-introducing their Toblach sneaker. First introduced in the late 1990s alongside their America’s Cup sneaker, it’s also the first Prada Linea Rossa style to hit the runways courtesy of their fall 1998 show. Now, they’re bringing it back — fitting since we’re in peak Y2K nostalgia. Like its predecessor it has an engineered rubber sole that gives it structure and function. Consisting of three options, those seeking more classic designs will gravitate towards the high top sneaker or lace up. As for you weirdos, look no further than the hybrid loafer. Shop it here.

Longines Redesigns Their PrimaLuna Collection

First launched in 2009, Longines is giving their PrimaLuna watch collection a facelift. The 2025 version begins with a 34-mm case that has a subtle domed surface that nods to the shape of a full moon as well as engraved lunar crescents on its surface. Both tie back to the celestial complication that powers the timepiece. Available in stainless steel, two-tone, or adorned with diamonds and sapphires, choose from three distinct dials. The first is a classic sunray silver dial with blue or black painted Roman numerals while another is made with mother-of-pearl and features diamond indexes. And finally for those seeking something really special, there’s a celestial blue mother-of-pearl dial that has 14 diamond indexes and 48 sapphires, selected to create a color graduation that recalls the sky at twilight. Finished with a stainless steel bracelet or alligator leather strap in blue, red, or burgundy, the effect is elegant and sophisticated. To capture the spirit of these designs, brand ambassador Jennifer Lawrence stars in a series of images set in an empty opera house. Dreamlike and poetic, it showcases the graceful lines of the watch in all its glory.

Karl Lagerfeld Knows What’s Hot

Speaking of Y2K, no one embodies that era quite like Paris Hilton. The socialite stars in Karl Lagerfeld’s fall 2025 campaign, “From Paris With Love.” Shot by Chris Colls, the black and white visuals channel both wit and elegance, celebrating the rebellious spirit that defined Karl himself. Alongside Hilton, Jon Kortajarena fronts the menswear line, showing the season’s tailoring and confident edge. Launching globally ahead of a special Paris Fashion Week event, the campaign reimagines Hilton through a Parisian lens while spotlighting the return of the brand’s signature K/Autograph.

Emporio Armani Taps Nicholas Galitzine

In January, actor Nicholas Galitizine was announced as the face of Emporio Armani’s Stronger With You parfum and now it seems as if his role has expanded as The Idea of You star takes center stage as the face of the brand’s fall 2025 eyewear, watches, and jewelry campaign. Shot by Alasdair McLellan in a lush English garden, the portraits of Galitzine showcase the collection, balancing sophistication and versatility — eyewear in angular silhouettes, sporty watches in a fresh color palette, and jewellery crafted with stainless steel elements.

Le Labo’s City Collection is Back (And With a New Addition)

Scent memories are some of the strongest so what better of a way to commemorate a dream vacation than by picking up a scent that ties to your destination? That’s the thinking behind Le Labo’s City collection, a series of fragrances that’s only available in the city listed on the label. From destinations like Tokyo to Paris to London, they’re designed to evoke the energies and atmosphere that make each locale special. The last addition to the collection is inspired by Kyoto. Osmanthus 19 features notes of incense and lavender in addition to the flower itself, which blooms during early winter. Described as creamy, woody, and resinous, the perfume recalls the historical wooden machiya houses that dot the city as well as the many temples it’s famous for. No plans to head to Japan? Luckily starting on September 1st all Le Labo locations will stock the entire City Exclusive scents collection. But don’t lag — they’ll be gone come September 30.

Gentle Monster Goes Bold With Tilda Swinton

No one does an immersive collection launch better than Gentle Monster. From working with Blackpink’s Jennie to Bratz, their list of collaborators spans genres and generations. The latest face to join the brand? Tilda Swinton, who fronts their Bold collection. Inspired by the shape of a shield, the styles have a unique bridge design that removes nose pads. With metal as well as acetate frames available, they’re futuristic and dynamic. For the campaign, which is set at the brands’ HAUS NOWHERE in Seoul, Swinton explores a surreal realm where the real and virtual intersect through film and stills. Want to get your hands on a pair? They’ll be available online on September 4th and in store on September 6th.

Pandora and Tyla Are Back With the Talisman Collection

After being announced as a Pandora brand ambassador back in April, Tyla returns as the face of the brand’s Talisman collection. Inspired by ancient coins, there are twelve designs, all engraved with Latin inscriptions. From amor vincit omnia aka “love conquers all” or per aspera ad astra, which translates to “through hardship to the stars”, the mantras are paired with motifs of hearts, moons, and stars. With sterling silver, 14k gold plating, and mixed metal finishes, they’re designed to be mixed and matched and serve as reminders of the intentions one sets for themselves. And for those who want something truly special, there’s also a man-made mother of pearl and 14k gold plated option while another larger design is engraved with arrows which serve as a symbol of hope, resilience, and growth.
