TEN THINGS TO TALK ABOUT

1) FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

CARTIER

Traveling to Paris in the fall? Be sure to check out Jean Nouvel’s newly redesigned Fondation Cartier. Starting October 25, the beautiful Haussmannian building, located across from the Louvre, will present Exposition Générale, featuring almost 600 works from more than 100 artists.

2) LINK UP:

GUCCI

What do you get when two Italian superbrands join forces? That would be Gucci and Pomellato’s high jewelry collection, Monili. Having debuted at Gucci’s 2026 cruise runway show, the necklaces, bracelets, and clutches were inspired by Pomellato’s archives and feature leather pieces intertwined with gold and pavé diamonds.

3) FELLOW TRAVELERS:

LOUIS VUITTON

Set in a hidden inner courtyard at Paris’s Gare du Nord train station, Nicolas Ghesquière’s FW25 show for Louis Vuitton looked to the railways. The collection’s dramatic capes, track pants, and sojourn-ready picnic-blanket dresses will have you packing your bags, stat!

4) POCKET CHANGE:

MIU MIU

First introduced in 2023, Miu Miu’s wildly successful Pocket bag, a utilitarian carry-all covered with pockets, has been undergoing a few tweaks. The new additions include a large barrel style, as well as hobos, satchels, and backpacks, available in aged nappa leather. Consider them the cool-girl go-to this fall.

5) MI CASA:

METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART

During the 1960s two Catskill Mountains resorts run by Susanna Valenti (above) and her wife, Marie Tornell, were a refuge for those exploring their femme identities at a time when gender roles were strictly defined. Candid snapshots from that era can now be seen at Casa Susanna, an exhibit running at the Met through January 2026.

6) COUTURE BY COPPOLA:

CHANEL

It’s a full-circle moment for the film director Sofia Coppola. Once a Chanel intern, she now serves not just as a brand ambassador but also the editor of the new tome Chanel Haute Couture. The gilded book chronicles early collections through the Virginie Viard era. With sketches, client photos, and archival documents, it’s a must-have for
any fashion lover.

7) TAKING FLIGHT:

TIFFANY & CO.

Bird on a Rock brooch and, 60 years later, Tiffany & Co. has reimagined the iconic motif in both high and fine jewelry form. The resulting exquisite one-of- a-kind pieces delicately perch on their wearers or transform their wings into abstract patterns. Talk about letting your imagination fly away.

8) DEBUT DESTINY:

TOM FORD

It seemed like fate for Haider Ackermann to take the reins at Tom Ford. His sexy, louche debut collection, with its sharply cut suits, elegant jewel-toned gowns, and a dash of dominatrix leather, was the talk of the season. Experimental but laced with reverence, it marks the arrival of a new era that holds plenty of promise.

9) THE WRITE STUFF:

MONTBLANC

Drawing from the beauty of the northern lights comes Montblanc’s latest addition to its writing stable: the StarWalker PolarGreen. The offering consists of three editions, rendered in resin and platinum or lacquered metal. Choose between a fountain pen, ballpoint, or fineliner to jot down your next great idea.

10) NEW DEPTHS:

OMEGA

Due to the color’s high visibility, orange accents are a key detail of Omega’s dive watch line. Its latest timepiece to get the luminous treatment is the Seamaster Diver 300M. Available with a brushed- metal or rubber strap, it’s made for deep-sea adventures.
