Usually Carolina Herrera shows during New York Fashion Week but this season, Creative Director Wes Gordon decided to mix things up and head to Madrid instead. This isn’t the first time the brand has opted to stage a runway presentation away from its home base. Back in June of 2023 they went down to Rio for their Resort 2024 collection. As the rain came down, it might have made for a wet walk but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm one bit. The following year they landed on Mexico City, incorporating local artisans into the looks.
As for spring 2026? Gordon and company are taking over the iconic Plaza Mayor in Madrid, the four-hundred-year-old landmark designed by Juan Gómez de Mora. Located smack dab in the center of the city, it’ll certainly make for some memorable photos. And given the brand’s penchant to collaborate with local creators, maybe we can expect to see some surprises mixed into the looks as well. Curious?
