See Celine’s Latest Addition to Their Portrait of a Performer Series

Meet Levon Hawke.

A Celine celebrity has a distinctive energy – they’re artsy, incredibly stylish, and somewhat unexpected. Think Kaia Gerber, Brie Larson, and Lisa from Blackpink to name a few. You can credit it to Hedi Slimane’s knack for nosing out talent that feels true to his own sensibilities. And there’s no better example of that than his Portrait of a Performer series. Featuring the likes of Bob Dylan, Julian Casablancas, and Jack White in the past, these are artists that inspire Slimane. The latest addition? Actor Levon Hawke, a name that may sound vaguely familiar, courtesy of his last name. 

The son of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, Levon (like his sister Maya) is joining the family business, with several movies on the horizon, but can also add modeling to his resume. Shot by Slimane in New York this past June, the sleek black and white photographs feature Hawke sprawled out against the city’s skyline. The classic images are echoed by the equally as classic clothes, highlighting Celine Essentials, the brand’s core collection of styles that are always available for purchase. Clad in elevated staples like a loose shirt, a simple denim jacket, and a tailored blazer, Hawke looks like a star on the verge. Given Celine’s track record, expect big things in the future.
