COS: Ready-to-Wear AW26

Sleek suiting, pops of color, and a stacked front row.

COS has never been a brand that tries to convince us it is something it isn’t—and that is precisely the point. The clothes are well produced, well cut and, best of all, appropriately priced. With COS you get staples and must-haves with a clear point of view. For FW2026, that point of view was rooted in corporate modernism, but thankfully the looks were not a bore. The collection was based on a city wardrobe that can actually work for a living and featured excellent tailoring. Womenswear remains where COS really triumphs. Wool sweaters, dresses, and coats felt considered without becoming precious, polished without losing their ease, and offered the occasional pop of white and purple—just enough to satisfy our palette.

A simple, slightly oversized grey wool blazer worn with satin grey trousers was a particularly good example of the COS formula. Nothing complicated yet somehow the combination made a familiar suit feel instantly more refined and desirable. That is COS at its best: taking something we already know we need and making us want it all over again. Other standouts included a long tailored wool coat, a white dress worn with a leather scarf, and great leather skirts and shirts.

And, as with every fashion show, there is the small matter of the front row. COS brought out the big guns this season, enlisting Sharon Stone, Lupita Nyong’o, Michelle Williams, Diego Calva, John Boyega, Ella from Meovv, Chinese superstar Kun, and plenty more. Even a brand committed to modern practicality knows a little star power never hurts.
