Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta have a great skill in underpinning their collections with a subtle sensuality. This season, their quiet erotica translated to suede skirts and silky tops that came slashed to expose erogenous zones, alongside twisted, sheer vests and artfully constructed, semi-opaque knits. This season’s outing came stacked with plenty of great pieces that will soon populate the wardrobes of Eckhaus Latta’s loyal fanbase. Like shaggy, beige coats and fuzzy cardigans cut boxy, or oversized quilted twinsets in ox blood red and dusty-looking jeans.
The whole thing was soundtracked by Loren Kramar, who worked through a cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but I have it” before moving into “New York, New York”, serenading one of the city’s best shows we’ve seen this season.
