The biggest night in fashion has come and gone as Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute celebrated this year’s fashion exhibition, “Costume Art.” Co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams, the 2026 Met Gala’s dress code was “Fashion is Art,” and celebrities took to their carpet in their looks, including the host committee co-chairs Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz, along with Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Alex Consani, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, LISA, Teyana Taylor, and Yseult. While the world tunes into the celebrities on the carpet, the real magic starts once the celebrities leave and head to the after parties.
One of the most legendary after parties every year takes place at New York’s famous Boom at The Standard, High Line, and this year was no different. Guests were taken up to the hotel’s top floor and ushered into the gilded space. Presented by actress Grace Gummer, Gabriela Hearst, and Yolz Mezcal, attendees sipped on specialty cocktails and danced the night away to the beats of DJs Samantha Ronson, Questlove, and Stretch Armstrong.

The celebration had no shortage of good vibes, fashion, and celebrities. Guests included A$AP Rocky, Janelle Monáe, Lindsey Vonn, Danai Gurira, Luke Evans, Jimmy Butler, Wes Gordon, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Misty Copeland, Tommy Dorfman, True Whitaker, Patti Wilson, Bianca Jebbia, and more.
But it wouldn’t be a Met Gala party at Boom without a special surprise performance. Crititically-acclaimed artist Kelela transformed the room into something surreal with her sultry sound, using the bar as her stage for an impromptu set that drew the crowd with her dance-floor energy. As party-goers danced before dashing off to the next one, it was a reminder that the first Monday in May is more of a Monday that blends into the wee hours of Tuesday.
