Karoline Vitto is back home on the London Fashion Week schedule after taking a break for AW24 and making a one-season stop in Milan – aided by Dolce & Gabbana – for SS24. Marking her first solo outing, ‘Undertide,’ was an homage to women facing the storm head-on – both metaphorical and literal.
Set to a booming bassline of Brazilian beats, the collection was a sophisticated blend of flowing jersey dresses, sleek hooded bodysuits à la Grace Jones and more casual denim skirts and wide-leg trousers. All spliced and reconnected with signature sculptural hardware, this season created in collaboration with Brazilian jewellery designer Carlos Penna.
Expanding her offering, Vitto’s latest collection saw her step into footwear – created with Tabitha Ringwood – to merge the hardware into chic strappy heels and boots that can be adjusted to any calf width. Clothes that grow with you as you fare the storms that life throws at you, Vitto always finds the silver lining.
