If it’s May, it’s resort season, a time when brands venture off to far flung locations to stage their runway shows. For Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026, the choice of destination isn’t just about where in the world feels apropos for Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière’s sculptural designs, there’s always a historical and architectural element as well. History tells us as much from last year’s presentation at Barcelona’s Park Güell to 2023’s Isola Bella to 2022’s sojourn to San Diego’s Salk Institute. Every site lends a sense of drama to the clothes. This year is no different as they head to the Palais des Papes in Avignon, France. The UNESCO world heritage site is renowned as one of the largest and most important medieval Gothic buildings in Europe and played host to six papal conclaves — fitting giving this year’s election of Pope Leo XIV. While we (probably) won’t see him make an appearance, what we will see are some beautiful looks set against castle walls. So watch it here on Thursday, May 22nd at 3:00 p.m. EST.
