The workwear collection by Pharrel Williams also includes the long awaited LV x Timberland drop.
Mark your calendars for August 8, as Louis Vuitton’s new men’s collection hits stores. As a corollary to Pharrell Williams’ Paris to VA fall 2024 show, which was an ode to the American West, the capsule embodies the same rugged outdoor energy. Spanning ready-to-wear and accessories, workwear takes center stage and serves as a canvas to highlight the savoir-faire in a new light. Classics like trucker jackets and slouchy trousers in shades of brown, black, and beige are not only practical but offer refined finishing touches in the form of pearls, embroideries, and turquoise-like buttons.
Also to note in this collection? The Keepall 50 Toolbox. Like its name implies, it’s shaped like a toolbox and made its debut on the runway as the bag of the season. Made from leather and lined in the brand’s signature Monogram Canvas, the design also includes clever design details. Besides the numerous external pockets, the style also comes with a flask and cigarette case, both made from steel and featuring engravings inspired by Wild West boots.
But perhaps the most anticipated collaboration is between Louis Vuitton and Timberland. Pre-launching on July 18, both on the site as well as the app, the boots stirred up a frenzy when they made their appearance. Available in three silhouettes from the signature 6-inch style to the directional 7-inch oversized design to the limited edition creation, Williams riffs on streetwear, workwear, and the brand’s signature monogram. For those who prefer the classic option, it’ll come in black as well as wheat. Made from Italian leather, it’s not just visually engaging courtesy of a but also has practical details like an insulation system and waterproofing. Rather go more avant-garde? The second collaboration is available in five different styles ranging from an ankle boot to a ranger boot with lace hooks to a mid-boot in brown leather. To round it out, a pull-on boot with buckles.
Lastly, because of this special collaboration, the brand will release 50 editions of the LV-6-inch boot. Called the Exceptional Edition, it features 18k gold LV tongue initials, eyelets, and lace tips. On the tongue are the words The Sun is Shining on Us, a phrase spoken by Williams during his debut show, And because such a carefully designed shoe requires an equally as impressive box, it’ll come in a bespoke Monogram and plexiglass enclosure. Want to get your hands on one? Try your luck tomorrow on the brand’s site or app.
