Max Mara’s pre-fall 2025 offering is a lesson in chic elegance, inspired by seminal American artist John Singer Sargent and his works which centred around the writers, actors, politicians and poets of the Gilded Age. Tapping into the unique nature of Sargent’s portraits, the offering is doused in an artful femininity.
Bow detailing pops up throughout, featuring across jackets, gilets and playsuits, with a delicate bow print, created by blending Sargent’s style of pencil sketches, also appearing throughout. Simple colourways of ivory, black and forest green embrace themes of uncomplicated luxury. Tailoring sits, as always, front and centre, with both sharp lines and effortlessly relaxed fits giving the collection a considered feel. Techno mesh features sporadically for a dash of modernity.
Characterised by sophistication and ease, the offering is versatile with artsy edge.
