Nina Ricci: Ready-To-Wear SS24

A fanciful flurry of campy glamour, Harris Reed’s second outing as the creative director of Nina Ricci was a stand-up success. Bolstered by a pretty stellar cast, Alex Consani, Precious Lee and long-term collaborator Ashley Graham took to the stage for Reed’s Friday spot at Paris Fashion Week, treating guests to the British-American designer’s take on childhood dress-up. Flamboyant, festive but tailored to perfection, the 36-look offering paid appropriate homage to the history of the French house – a brand known for its reliable delivery of luxury eveningwear.

Contemporary cut-out necklines and sheer triangle bras ran in tandem with vintage-esc suiting and sumptuous velvet finishes. Oversized bows and sheer polka-dot accessories set a tone of kitsch extravagance and looks flirted with fishnet tights and elbow-grazing evening gloves to add elements of confidence and glamour. A spattering of animal print and leather reassured onlookers that the Nina Ricci woman is not to be trifled with. A collaboration with industry polymath Charlotte Tilbury meant beauty looks were strong yet sultry and wrapped with a feminine charm.

A new era of delectable showmanship has dawned at Nina Ricci.
