Onitsuka Tiger turned Milan into an ‘Energy Station’ – as it termed its collection – for SS27, with fashion meeting movement with a street style flair. Unfolding against a futuristic set, the collection took the brand’s sporting codes for a spin, sending tiger stripes into new territory alongside colour-blocking, technical layers and a sea of unexpected combinations.
There was a distinctly playful spirit at work, with sporty separates meeting sharper, more considered silhouettes. And then there were the shoes. From vivid yellow knee-high boots to sleek trainers and hybrid styles, the footwear did more than finish the looks – it drove them forward. Japanese-inspired details and functional dressing built the collection’s foundations, while the show’s theatrical flourishes gave it an extra zing. It was a wardrobe built for life in the fast lane, with plenty of room for detours.
