Ariana Grande, Colman Domingo, and Timothée Chalamet were among our Oscars 2025 best dressed.
Capping off what could only be described as an unpredictable awards season, Hollywood’s biggest night was equally filled with surprising and memorable moments. From Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s opening performance to Wicked’s Paul Tazewell history making win for costume design to Zoe Saldana being the first Dominican-American to take home the best supporting actress trophy, it was a night for the unexpected. One sure bet? A red carpet that was filled with well-dressed celebrities. Elle Fanning and Selena Gomez opted for classic Hollywood glamour while the likes of Demi Moore, Fernanda Torres, and Lupita Nyong’o chose sparkling embellished creations. As for the men, they too did not disappoint. While many went the traditional tuxedo route, others like Timothée Chalamet and Colman Domingo decided to opt for color texture courtesy of Givenchy and Valentino. It might have been a tight race for all of the nominees, yet our Oscars 2026 best dressed choices were easy. See our top 10 below.
1. ARIANA GRANDE IN SCHIAPARELLI HAUTE COUTURE
If you were thinking lampshade when you saw Ariana Grande in this pink Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress, you’re not wrong — it was inspired by an Alberto Giacometti lamp in the brand’s archives. Featuring 190,000 sequins, rhinestones, and cut beads, it was the perfect way to cap off her run of Wicked themed dressing. And because two movie references are always better than one, she also opened the show in a red sparkling gown that featured a shoe detail in the back — a fitting Wizard of Oz nod.
2. DEMI MOORE IN ARMANI PRIVÉ AND CHOPARD JEWELRY
Demi Moore may have lost the best actress Oscar but she won a spot on the best dressed list with this spectacular Armani Privé dress coupled with Chopard jewels.
3. SELENA GOMEZ IN CUSTOM RALPH LAUREN AND BVLGARI JEWELRY
Crafted from 16,000 glass droplets and Rosemont crystals, Selena Gomez’s custom Ralph Lauren gown was inspired by an archival image of Sophia Loren in a similar dress. To give it an air of authenticity, she even collaborated with Loren’s old tailor.
4. TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET IN CUSTOM GIVENCHY AND CARTIER JEWELRY
While most of the men opted for classic black tuxedos, we’ve come to expect the unexpected from Timothée Chalamet. His butter yellow leather Givenchy suit was certainly a statement, especially when worn with Cartier jewelry including a 1988 necklace that included a 3.84 carat brilliant cut yellow diamond.
6. MICHELLE YEOH IN BALENCIAGA AND BOUCHERON JEWELRY
The Balenciaga ambassador chose a royal blue duchess satin gown from the brand’s 52nd Couture collection which was especially elegant when paired with Boucheron jewelry.
7. ELLE FANNING IN GIVENCHY
Speaking of channeling classic actresses, Elle Fanning’s white lace Givenchy Couture gown with Watteau back brought to mind Audrey Hepburn. A fitting way for Sarah Burton to debut her first custom haute couture look for the brand.
8. FERNANDA TORRES IN CHANEL
Making history for Brazil, the Best Actress nominee (whose mother was the only other Brazilian actress up for an Oscar!) chose a black long-sleeve Chanel dress that took 450 hours to make.
9. ADRIEN BRODY IN GIORGIO ARMANI
It was a big night for men in brooches as seen on Joe Alwyn, Sebastian Stan, and of course, Adrien Brody. Brody has been making it a point to accent his suits with flashy ones throughout awards season and tonight was no different. He wore a custom Giorgio Armani suit complete with a giant emerald and diamond dazzler on his right shoulder to accept his second Oscar.
10. LUPITA NYONG’O IN CHANEL
Made with 22,410 pearls, the sweet Chanel dress was inspired by 1991 haute couture design.
