PHARELL DEBUTS HIS FIRST TIFFANY & CO. COLLECTION

The spiky pieces are inspired by Poseidon’s trident.

He’s won over ten Grammys, has countless hit songs, and has been praised for his role as creative director at Louis Vuitton. But the latest addition to Pharrell Williams’ list of impressive accomplishments? Jewelry collaborator as he releases Tiffany Titan, his first collection for Tiffany & Co.

Inspired by the Greek god Poseidon, namely the trident he carries, the deep sea references also reflect reasons personal to Williams. Atlantis not only happens to be the sea king’s home but also the name of the designer’s community in Virginia Beach, where he grew up. It’s fitting then that he pays tribute both to his roots and the powerful deity in one fell swoop.

Given William’s creative eye, it’s no surprise that the 19-piece collection is everything one would expect it to be. Consisting of 18k necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings, the spiky, jagged pieces mimic the shape of a trident, albeit in a modern and edgy manner. Each style, whether big or small, black or yellow gold, encrusted with diamonds or metal, has a bit of edge (literally). “The Tiffany Titan goes against the traditional route of jewelry collaborations, as it’s the first collection that defies the conventions of fine jewelry design,” according to Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President, Product, Communications and Industrial, via press release.
