Ralph Lauren Purple Label: Menswear AW25

Alpine luxury at its finest.

Mountains, snow, and frost — these are the images that immediately come to mind at Ralph Lauren Purple Label’s fall 2025 presentation. You can chalk it up to the fact that by this time next year, Milan will be abuzz with the 2026 Winter Olympics taking place outside of the city in Cortina. As such, the looks appear to be deeply inspired by the ski town nestled in the heart of the Dolomites. It’s also fitting as the brand has been the go-to for dressing Team USA over the decades. Call it mountainside sophistication harmoniously melding with alpine heritage.

Per the show notes, the collection was intended to “mix the beauty of rusticity with timeless elegance. It is about a world of warmth and sophistication, sartorial tailoring, and modern silhouettes.” And that’s exactly what this collection does with distinctive grace, creating a harmonious blend of worlds as the American West meets the striking Dolomites. From rich forest green jackets worn with plaid knitwear and cream trousers to the same hue used for three-piece suits, it’s Milan’s sophistication and gentlemanly style brought to life. Textures abound with lush velvet, hand-stitched leather, and fine shearling offering visual interest. As always, the tailoring is a strength with classic navy formalwear in addition to elegant pinstripes and plenty of tuxedos.

As for the accessories, unexpected pieces like bold Western-style belts and hiking boots gave suiting a new life. Also of note is the jewelry, which includes handmade turquoise and silver pieces, made in collaboration with silversmith Neil Zarama of the Chiricahua Apache Nation. The link up is a result of the brand’s Authentic Makers program, which invites artisans who practice heritage crafts to design and create products using traditional techniques in partnership with the design team.

If the Olympics are a cultural exchange via the world’s best athletes, then this presentation is a microcosm of that sentiment, albeit through a fashion lens. With fabrics sourced from England, tailoring done in Italy, and a distinctively American sensibility with a nod towards honoring indigenous cultures, who else but Ralph Lauren can draw together such disparate threads into one singular vision?
