Willy Chavarria Celebrates His 10 Magazine USA Cover

Julia Fox, Patti Wilson, and more came to raise a glass.

When we said “Everybody Loves Willy”, we weren’t kidding: No one can turn out a crowd on a freezing cold, snowy New York City night quite like Willy Chavarria. The designer, one of our cover stars for the latest issue 10 Magazine USA, joined us in celebrating his issue with an intimate dinner at Bufón. In attendance was fellow co-cover star Julia Fox, who called Chavarria, “effervescent”, along with the women who starred in the story like stylist Patti Wilson, fashion consultant Julie Gilhart, journalist Paola Ramos, ACLU’s national director of artist & entertainment engagement Jessica Herman Weitz.

As guests enjoyed cocktails courtesy of Don Julio, editor-in-chief Dora Fung kicked off the night with a short speech. “Your patience, your tenacity is amazing,” she said, reaffirming the deep affection the room held for the designer. As for Chavarria, the feeling was mutual, “Thank you for having the guts and the balls as well as the strength and the courage for doing the stories that you do, to share beauty with the world. 10 Magazine is such an incredible piece of work and I’m so grateful for it.”
