Zomer’s AW25 collection was a wild ride through deconstruction, protection and surrealism, where utilitarian grit collided with avant-garde fantasy. It was all about bold contrasts: razor-sharp tailoring twisted into unconventional forms, structured silhouettes were softened by delicate fabrics. Oversized jackets, cinched waists and exaggerated proportions commanded attention, embodying power, transformation and a touch of rebellion.
Function met fiction with oversized pockets, zippers and uniform-inspired details keeping things practical, while playful reversals – jackets worn backwards and inside-out layering – flipped traditional tailoring on its head. Disorientation was the name of the game, making reinvention feel effortless. And the statement pieces? Floral-printed bodysuits and fringed rug skirts, crowned with face-shielding lampshade hats that teased at anonymity and self-protection.
Zomer tapped into a childlike sense of wonder, treating fashion like a dress-up game. Clothes were twisted, flipped and reimagined with playful spontaneity – like a kid throwing on whatever felt right. A trip to Morocco added another layer, inspiring rich textures, deep greens and woven fabrics, with traditional carpets reworked into wearable art.
The colour palette fused kaleidoscopic hues with grounded, earthy tones, casting a dreamlike spell over the collection. And the accessories? They dialled up the tension between restriction and freedom, cementing Zomer’s vision of fashion as both armour and artistic expression.
