THEIR NEWEST FLAGSHIP IS LOCATED IN THE CITY’S DESIGN DISTRICT
Is Miami the new New York? It seems like everyone is heading down south these days, jumping on the Art Basel energy. The latest to open a new flagship is Celine, as the brand quietly debuted their store in the city’s Design District earlier this month. Spanning over 380 sq meters over two floors, the interior concept is instantly recognizable to fans of the brand. Initially conceived by Hedi Slimane to have a distinct modern brutalist look, the Miami outpost reflects the same aesthetic that has been Celine’s standard since 2019.
Featuring walls lined with antique mirrors, you’ll find natural stones like gray travertine, arabescato, and other marbles as well as gold details for a softer feel. To complement the interiors, there’s a curated selection of lounge furniture decorating the space. Given Celine and Slimane’s close ties to the art world, visitors will also note an extensive selection of contemporary art pieces including paintings by the likes of Simone Fattal, Maia Ruth Lee, and SoiL Thorton as well as other works by Antonia Kup, Eli Ping, Marcelo Silveira, among others.
This house of mirrors features womens leather goods, fine jewelry, maison, and perfumes on the first floor, while the women’s ready-to-wear and men’s collection is showcased on the second floor. For those looking for something special, there will be two worldwide exclusive purses available for purchase, the classic teen Triomphe bag and Claude bag in the distinct Slimane silhouettes.
