What a party it was! Last night, we headed to the Basement at the London EDITION to celebrate the announcement that 10 Magazine founder and Global Editor-in-Chief, Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, will receive a Special Recognition Award at The Fashion Awards 2024.
Honouring Sophia’s outstanding contribution to the fashion industry over the last 30 years, the extended 10 Mag family came together for a Tuesday night of epic proportions. The well-dressed troupe of partygoers sipped on delicious cocktails courtesy of Belvedere Vodka – each delightfully named after Sophia’s text sign offs – and gorgeous Moët & Chandon Champagne, all while tucking into tasty canapés from the revered London Edition kitchen.
Amongst the night’s guests were actor Damson Idris, rappers Stefflon Don and Headie One and musicians Ella Eyre and Mutya Buena of the Sugababes. British fashion royalty turned up and turned out, too, as the dancefloor was chockful with designers including Peter Hawkings, Christopher Kane, Roland Mouret, Bianca Saunders and Robyn Lynch. Also brushing shoulders were legendary models David Gandy and Laura Bailey, hair stylist extraordinaire Sam McKnight and make-up master Val Garland and leaders of the modelling new guard, Cora Corré and Ned Sims.
The night’s soundtrack came courtesy of Deej and Kim Turnbull, who set the vibes for the evening, leading into the powerhouse trio Hale Zero, who brought the heat until the lights came on. It made for a glorious evening in honour of Sophia’s tremendous three-decades at the forefront of creativity.
