The HardWear by Tiffany timepieces are dripping in diamonds.
In 1962, Tiffany & Co. created a bracelet inspired by the place the brand called home, Manhattan. Bold and striking, it served as the foundation for the HardWear line, a series of bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and more that are instantly recognizable courtesy of their thick gauge links. Last year, watches were added to the lineup, and the brand released three new styles earlier this month. Swiss-made and dripping in diamonds, don’t think of them as timepieces. They’re more like an extension of your jewelry collection.
As a nod to the brand’s history, the 24.5 mm watch case across all three styles features a faceted case-back as well as a sapphire crystal glass that covers the dial — reminiscent of the cuts you’d see on the iconic Tiffany Diamond. Other commonalities? You’ll find a precise Swiss movement powering the timepieces, and they’re also water-resistant up to 30 meters. With three bracelet sizes to accommodate most wrists, the watchmakers made it a point to make the design universal. Regardless of the length, every watch will have precisely 10 links and a hidden clasp to create a seamless look.
While they may all share similar design features at their core, these timepieces have distinct details. The first option consists of an 18k yellow gold case with eight diamond-set lugs with another eight circled around a mother-of-pearl dial. To amp up the sparkle the back of the case features another eight stones. For rose gold lovers, you’ll find an option that features a staggering 291 round diamonds, clocking in at one-carat total weight on the case. If that isn’t enough, the dial has another 125 stones that also amount to another carat’s worth of gems. Do that math, and you’ll find that the stunning timepiece amounts to nearly two carats with 416 diamonds in total — a truly unique creation. As special as that may be, for fans of Tiffany & Co., the last one might be the most sacred. The 18k yellow-gold style showcases a dial in the brand’s signature blue hue. Similar to the mother-of-pearl watch, this one also has eight round diamonds. Exclusively available at the Landmark, it’s sure to be a collectors’ item.
