DAVID BECKHAM’S LATEST BOSS COLLECTION IS HIS MOST PERSONAL YET

Cruz inspired the cargo pants, but the cashmere rollnecks are all dad.

At 50, David Beckham has evolved from streetwear-loving footballer to veritable style star, and his second collaboration with Boss mines the wardrobe he’s cultivated over decades. “I love winter collections and layering things. I love warm cashmere, camels, chocolate browns, and navys,” he told press at a May conference, describing the collection of fall essentials inspired by his own closet. “I know what I’d want to wear, what people like to see me in, and what they want to be in. This gives me an opportunity to create that.”

The collection delivers a refined seasonal edit—cashmere crew necks, rollnecks, zip ups, and polos in a fall palette of browns, navys, greys, and burgundys; and wear-everywhere outerwear, including a raw denim workwear jacket, rainproof parka, and bombers in nylon, cashmere-wool blends, and sueded shearling.

Pleat-front trousers come in a similar array of muted hues, plus relaxed denim and oversized cotton cargo pants—the latter inspired by his son Cruz. “I am very classic these days,” says Beckham “I don’t tend to push the boundaries too much, but I let my kids do that and I get inspiration from them.” The influence goes beyond just cargo pants. “I might be slightly older now than I was when I was 21, but I have 3 sons and a daughter that keep me young, and that’s really what I’m excited about for the next 50 years,” he notes.

The collection’s campaign reunited Beckham with photography duo Mert and Marcus, who also shot smoldering photos of Becks for Boss One Bodywear earlier this year. It’s one of the many campaigns and editorials he’s fronted over the decades.

“I’ve been very lucky to have been part of fashion for my whole career without even knowing it. I wear things and change my hairstyle for me, not anyone else,” says the former soccer star. “Sometimes, I wake up in the morning and I’m bored and I shave my hair off. That’s just me. I’ve had fun, and I want to continue to do that.”

The BECKHAM x BOSS Fall/Winter 2025 collection is now available online, at BOSS stores globally, and at select retailers.
