The actor attends the 98th Annual Academy Awards in a custom look by GapStudio.
Milo Manheim is a young Hollywood star on the rise. Best known for his starring role as Zed in Disney’s Zombies along with his work on Hulu’s School Spirits, his biggest moment has yet to come, with the announcement that he’ll play Flynn Rider in the Disney live action adaptation of Tangled. And so, with that on the radar, it’s only natural that he’s attending the 2026 Oscars. While he’s no stranger to red carpets, this is his first time attending Hollywood’s biggest night. For the occasion, he worked with GapStudio’s creative director Zac Posen alongside his stylist Amanda Lim to create a custom suit. Below, Manheim gives us an exclusive look as he gets ready for his debut.
“I woke up, immediately drank some coffee and surrounded myself with these beautiful people”, Milo says about his routine and team. “We have to start the day off with the correct vibes!”
The custom look features a tailored tuxedo jacket elongated into a sleek, coat-length silhouette that brings a contemporary edge to formal dressing. “Working with Zac Posen was a dream, especially knowing this would be GapStudios’ first custom tuxedo for an award show. I’ve always considered him one of the greatest American designers, so collaborating with him on this moment for Milo felt incredibly special and personal”, says Lim about working with the designer.
The look is finished with a satin duchesse bow tie and coordinating cummerbund, balancing timeless black-tie dressing with relaxed American sophistication.
Lim explains the inspiration behind the design: “For the look, the word we kept coming back to was “princely”, symbolic of his upcoming role as Flynn Rider in Tangled. I pulled references from major red carpets past that have inspired me, and together with Zac, we found a through line that blended that polished, leading-man energy with the iconic spirit of Gap heritage design. For example, a chambray-covered placket tuxedo shirt was such a unique idea directly from Zac.”
“I’m going there open minded, excited to meet whoever’s path I cross. Everyone there is mad talented – there are so many people there that I look up to and admire”, Milo says about the upcoming evening.
Crafted in midnight wool cavalry twill with silk faille lapels, the jacket creates a structured, streamlined shape and a refined, romantic interpretation of classic eveningwear through the lens of GapStudio modern tailoring.
“Seeing it for the first time, I felt it was a synergetic collision of Milo, Zac, and Gap wrapped into one. It ended up looking so modern and glamorous on the red carpet today. It was just a special experience, and I couldn’t be more honored to have worked with such an amazing team”, says the stylist.
