Nike is Making the Best World Cup Merch

Here’s where to find the most coveted kits of the tournament.

When we think of football, we think of Nike. To celebrate the biggest tournament in the world, the FIFA World Cup, the sportswear giant is approaching this season’s merch with a vision that doesn’t just honor the sport but also the fans from across the globe. From the pitch to the streets and into local communities, they’ve partnered with seven federations, seven creative collaborators, and seven community organizations to unveil its X2 capsule collections.

X2 is a creative initiative that invites artists and designers to reimagine the federation kits of seven nations in collaboration with each team. The result is a fresh take on football classics, designed to inspire a new generation of fans and players. While the home kits remain rooted in each country’s heritage and identity, the away kits are envisioned as future classics, designs that sit at the intersection of football, culture, and creativity. Beyond the pieces themselves, each partnership includes a partnership with a local youth sports organization. Nike is investing in these groups to support their day-to-day missions and reinforce its long-term commitment to shaping the future of youth sport.

Fans of Canada will find a partnership with Drake’s brand NOCTA called Canada x NOCTA for Les Rouges, which honors Canadian Women & Sport. If you’re cheering on England they’re linking up with the streetwear label Palace, with the aptly named Palace for The Three Lions, benefitting Football Beyond Borders. Meanwhile Franciophiles will find the France x Jacquemus for Les Bleus up their alley with their organization of choice being Sport dans la Ville. In the Netherlands, they’ve tapped local label Patta for Oranje by Patta and are working with Favela Street. Team Nigeria has asked local artist Slawn to create The Super Eagles by Slawn, honoring the Bravehearts Ladies Foundation while South Korea’s PEACEMINUSONE is the label behind The Tigers of Asia by PEACEMINUSONE, with their initiative being We Meet Up. And finally, naturally Virgil Abloh’s V.A.A. is the collab for the United States with The Stars & Stripes by V.A.A. pairing with Coalitions for Sport Equity.

Whether you’re backing one of these teams or have a newfound passion for the sport these kits represent more than team pride. They celebrate a global community united by a shared passion for the game and the joy of playing together. The X2 collections launch June 11 through collaborator and federation retailers, arrive at Dover Street Market on June 13, and will be available via SNKRS and select Nike retail partners beginning June 16. Given their choice of brand partners, expect this to sell out fast.
