Meet the LV Crayon.
Nearly a year ago, Louis Vuitton launched their color cosmetics line, La Beauté. Made in conjunction with one of the industry’s most iconic makeup artists, Dame Pat McGrath, it consisted of 55 lipstick shades, 10 lip balms, and eight eyeshadow palettes. Luxurious and richly pigmented, the news was a big deal for beauty lovers. Well, those fans are about to get some more news that’ll get them excited: La Beauté is launching a lip liner. Aptly named the LV Crayon, it’s a monogram-shaped pencil designed to turn everyday beauty rituals into luxury.
For McGrath, whose work has defined the brand’s runway beauty direction for more than two decades, the lip line has always been the foundation of exceptional make-up. “Every look I have ever created begins [there] — it’s where precision becomes art,” she said via press release. That expertise is all mixed into the LV Crayon, a pencil designed to deliver professional-level definition with ease.
The design itself is a testament to Louis Vuitton’s signature craft. Created in collaboration with Konstantin Grcic, the crayon features a unique monogram flower-shaped tip inspired by the iconic Louis Vuitton motif. Not just decorative, the shape also enhances application control and precision. With a matte black wooden body and finished with a gold cap, each one feels as luxurious as the brand’s most coveted accessories. Performance is equally impressive, as the creamy, featherlight texture glides seamlessly across the lips, delivering long-lasting color, hydration and comfort. Enriched with peptides, the formula helps revitalize and visibly plump lips while creating a smooth, sculpted finish. The collection launches in ten curated shades, ranging from sophisticated nudes and rosewoods to bold statement reds. Standout colors include Beige Atlas, a warm peach-infused beige inspired by vintage maps, Sepia Panorama, a rich chocolate brown with mahogany undertones, and Rouge Louis, a vivid crimson that reimagines one of the brand’s most iconic hues. At the deeper end of the spectrum, Monogram Rouge delivers the intensity of a Bordeaux if that’s more your style.
To showcase the versatility of the collection, McGrath has created a series of signature looks. From the softly diffused “Blur Illusion” lip to the modernized “90s Minimalism” aesthetic and the sculpted glamour of “Premiere Plump”, each look demonstrates the power of precision.
