De Beers London Goes Back to the Source

Their high jewelry collection explores the landscapes of Southern Africa.

What if a diamond never forgot where it came from? That’s the question De Beers London ponders as it returns to the landscapes of Southern Africa, turning wetlands, wild terrain, and the most complicated of geologies into its latest high jewelry collections.

Some houses look to archives; De Beers London looks to nature itself. Unveiled in Paris, the newest chapters of the brand’s iconic Lotus and Talisman collections trace back to the landscapes that have shaped its diamonds for millions of years, proving that origin can be just as beautiful as the finished jewel.

The Lotus collection takes its cues from the resilient flora of the Okavango Delta, transforming the signature flower into a necklace, a pair of earrings, a bracelet, and rings that inherit that same energy, almost alive with movement. Pear-shaped diamonds unwind into petals around brilliant cut centers, while chevrons ripple like flowing water. The hero necklace features a detachable two-carat pear-shaped pendant and a hidden clasp disguised as a second blossom, marrying technical ingenuity with effortless glamour.

If Lotus captures the landscape in bloom, Talisman looks to what lies beneath it. Since 2005, the collection has celebrated the conversation between rough and polished diamonds, and this latest chapter turns the contrast up another notch. A cuff anchors 11 carats of contrasting stones around a one-carat center diamond, while cocktail rings, medallions and earrings embrace the beauty of imperfection. De Beers London’s signature poinçon technique allows gold to wrap each stone without visible prongs, creating the illusion that the diamonds have emerged naturally from the metal itself.

Together, the two collections ask the same question: what happens when a diamond remembers where it came from? With direct access to some of the world’s most extravagant rough stones, De Beer London answers by letting the landscape speak first. Lotus and Talisman arrive in select De Beers London boutiques this month.
