PEEL BACK THE LAYERS
For Prada’s FW26 show, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons enlisted long-time casting director Ashley Brokaw to execute a memorable runway concept that we’re still thinking about months later. The group selected 15 models and dressed them in multi-layered looks. The women then took four turns each on the runway, revealing a new, underlying look every time. Bella Hadid’s outfit consisted of a sheer overcoat and printed dress, while Liu Wen wore layers of transparent dresses and skirts, and Amanda Murphy shed her trench coat to reveal a baby-blue silk dress paired with a red scarf. New faces such as Anna Hoyos, Noor Khan, and Alina Miller transformed from schoolgirl attire in embroidered coats and crewneck sweaters to colorful shirts and bustiers.
Individually, the models shone as the stars of the Prada universe, but collectively they represented something bigger: an intellectualized study of how women want to dress today.
