Bvlgari Dreams in Vivid Color

Bvlgari Polychroma, their newest high jewelry collection is a veritable rainbow.

Where can you find snakes, clouds, stars, and kaleidoscopes in one place? Surprisingly, the answer is Bvlgari’s high jewelry collection. Titled Polychroma, derived from the Greek words ‘poly’ (multitude) and ‘chromia’ (colors), it’s an homage to the vibrant colors of the world around us, where every jewel becomes a new way to imagine

At the heart of Polychroma are five extraordinary timepieces. The Nuvole Preziose pendant watch captures Rome’s architecture with an octagonal design and a 6.88 carat yellow sapphire, featuring detachable cloud-shaped elements that double as earrings. Drawing from Roman nights is the Notte Stellata with a dome-shaped dial adorned with firefly tremblers crafted from yellow diamonds and blue sapphires set against a bracelet of blue sapphires. When it comes to Bvlgari, no symbol is more significant than the snake and the Serpenti Aeterna reimagines the motif with a sleek bangle design in white gold, available in versions with diamonds and sapphires, or emeralds. Rounding out the collection is the Gioco di Forme e Colori, a secret watch celebrates colour with a detachable brooch featuring a 12.34 carat tanzanite, surrounded by vibrant gemstones and the Tubogas e Colori manchette, which updates the classic Tubogas with bold gemstone combinations and a 6.65 carat amethyst dial.

Within the selection are 60 millionaire pieces, which the brand defines as styles that retail for over a million Euros and marks the highest number of luxury items. Other highlights include Cosmic Vault, a necklace inspired by the stars and architectural grandeur. At its center, a 123.35-carat Sri Lankan sapphire which brings to mind a similar made for Elizabeth Taylor. Another, Celestial Mosaic, references Jericho’s Tree of Life mosaic with a 131.21-carat Tajikistan spinel, the world’s fourth largest. Drawing from Mughal art, you’ll find the gems set in flexible joints to ensure that it sits perfectly on the collarbone. With a name like Polychroma, it would be complete without a namesake piece. Polychromatic Bloom is made up of 500 pieces with three massive center stones: a 106.36-carat rubellite, a 55.52-carat peridot, and a 55.11-carat tanzanite. Vivid and opulent, it perfectly embodies the spirit of the collection.

Polychroma also extends beyond jewelry into bags, eyewear, and fragrances. Designed by Accessories Creative Director Mary Katrantzou, high jewelry bags use detachable closures that double as wearable pendants featuring classic motifs like Serpenti and Divas’ Dream. The Serpenti sunglasses, sculpted in 18kt rose gold, bring the snake to life with diamond pavé and customizable rimless frames. Meanwhile, the Polychroma perfume collection, crafted by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, captures the collection’s vibrant essence with floral-ambery fragrances housed in Murano glass flaçons with detachable serpent brooches. Two standouts include Polychroma Vitae, with 23.1 carats of diamonds, emeralds, and onyx, and Polychroma Astrae, showcasing turquoise, citrine, and mother-of-pearl.

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of LVMH Watches & CEO of Bvlgari, encapsulates the collection’s essence, stating, “Polychroma redefines the boundaries of craftsmanship, gemology, and goldsmithing excellence, with every piece standing as a masterpiece of art, each gemstone an expression of unparalleled rarity and beauty. This collection not only honors Bvlgari’s heritage but also reaffirms our commitment to excellence, constantly pushing the limits of what luxury can represent.”
