In case you missed it, Prada has expanded in New York City and taken over the address next door to their women’s flagship on Fifth Avenue. The reason? A boutique solely offering their menswear collections. Located at 720 Fifth Avenue, the sprawling two floor, 13,000 square foot space features a concrete facade that connects it visually with the existing shops. But don’t be mistaken, this is a place entirely on its own, with a dedicated entrance and curation of ready-to-wear, accessories, lifestyle novelties, and specialty items.
As for the interior, the design and concept is central to the Prada aesthetic, which runs like a red thread throughout the brand’s boutiques, shows, and set design. Within you’ll note the iconic pastel green tone on the walls juxtaposed against the bold black-and-white checkered marble floor as inspired by the original Prada boutique in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. On the second level, the flooring is made from rosewood, fashioned in a similar geometric pattern. For your meditative shopping breaks, you can rest on green velvet and black leather seats, next to furnishings in dark wood and steel, which add a modern, masculine touch to the space.

For those seeking a personalized experience, you will find a private suite dedicated to specialized offerings. Not only do they offer a Made-to-Measure experience, but also a newly established Made-to-Order service, exclusively available at this new location. Exceptional pieces, including ready-to-wear, footwear and leather goods are available for full customization. And if you prefer to shop directly off the rack, there’s plenty to choose from. For summer, classic pieces in linens, silk, and leather are among the offerings. As always bold patterns and bright colors abound, with styles in vibrant prints and stripes designed to accent neutrals. Footwear includes sandals and loafers as well as the brand’s signature sneakers.
