Sportmax: Pre-Fall 2026

For pre-fall 2026, Sportmax transforms into the great observer. Looking at the ways in which women move about the world “across time zones and shifting climates, in a perpetual motion forward that craves convenience”, the brand sharpens its focus on clothes that respond to real life rather than dictate it. This means that silhouettes, while exaggerated and precise in classic Sportmax style, are designed for movement, adaptability and, ultimately, a timeless, geographically ubiquitous style.

Travel sits at the beating heart of the collection and informs everything from palette to fabrication. Japanese ink-washed denim appears alongside chocolate, cacao and heather grey tones, shades drawn from the women walking the streets of Kyoto, Tokyo, Seoul and Los Angeles. They sheath themselves here in oversized doublé coats and cocooning blousons – cushioned armour against an oncoming cold snap, and two of the collection’s strongest propositions.

There’s also feather-light lyocell denim, a material that carries the sturdy hand-feel of workwear but swivels across the body with the ease of jersey. Elsewhere, tailoring is loosened through round-legged trousers that taper neatly at the ankle, while woollen overshirts function as outerwear. Jackets are hybrid in nature, fitted with removable collars in coated fabric or polar fleece, and tubular boudin belts feature a pull-and-release system, allowing each look to be worn cinched or loose, depending on the day.

Seeing observation as the “root of purposeful design”, Sportmax delivers a wardrobe that feels considered rather than contrived. Accessories are kept personal: mismatched bijoux charms, a new slouchy hobo bag with sculpture-like hardware that slithers into the brand’s S logo. Underscored by pointed flats and polite kitten heels, the collection is designed to be worn for a lifetime. For the woman on the go, day in, day out, Sportmax has something you’ll love, be it a cocooning coat or a hybrid jacket. Simply toss it on, step outside and brace the cold with your best foot forward.
