Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, and Addison Rae were among our favorite looks of the night.
The biggest night in music has arrived, and the nominees are bringing as much drama to the red carpet as they will to the Grammys stage. Tyla, nominated for Best African Music Performance for her song “Push 2 Start”, looked ethereal in a feathered vintage Dsquared2 number, while Sombr, up for Best New Artist, wore a sequined suit designed by Alessandro Michele for Valentino. Despite all that sparkle, all eyes were on Chappell Roan, looking like a red wine supernova in a body-baring custom Mugler dress. Many of our favorite looks were classic black and white—with a twist: Rosé in Giambattista Valli couture, Addison Rae in Alaïa, Olivia Dean in Chanel, Bad Bunny in Schiaparelli, Billie Eilish in Hodakova, Miley Cyrus in Celine, and Lady Gaga in Matires Fecales. Here, the 10 best dressed of the night.
1. TYLA IN VINTAGE DSQUARED2 AND PANDORA
The South African singer floated across the red carpet in a 2013 Dsquared2 feathered gown. Sexy, glittery and bohemian—a definite top ten.
2. ROSÉ IN CUSTOM GIAMBATTISTA CALLI COUTURE AND TIFFANY & CO.
The Blackpink member arrived in a glamorous blond bob, and an even more glamorous gown: a black velvet mini dress draped in a voluminous white silk taffeta skirt, paired with glittering Tiffany & Co. jewels.
3. SOMBR IN VALENTINO
Best new artist nominee Sombr brought an Alessandro Michele flair to the usual red carpet suit, opting for an eye-catching all-over sequin paired with a sheer lace shirt and studded pointed toe shoes.
4. ADDISON RAE IN ALAÏA
Addison in Alaïa—a match made in heaven. The TikTok star–turned pop star looked cheeky chic in a white plunge neck dress that was a midi in the front and mini in the back.
5. OLIVIA DEAN IN CHANEL AND CARTIER
Nominated for Best New Artist, the British singer-songwriter should also be up for Best Dressed. Dressed in a black and white Chanel gown by Matthieu Blazy, Olivia Dean gave classic Hollywood beauty.
6. BILLIE EILISH IN CUSTOM HODAKOVA
Nominated for both Song and Record of the Year for “Wildflower”, the 9-time Grammy winner wore a custom Hodakova skirt suit. Not only does Billie Eilish support up-and-coming designers, she also shows solidarity with ICE protesters by wearing an Ice Out pin on her collar.
7. MILEY CIRUS IN CUSTOM CELINE
Nominated for her pop album Something Beautiful, Miley Cyrus wore her best rockstar attire: an ‘80s-inspired look with a cinched leather jacket studded with brooches, all by Celine.
8. BAD BUNNY IN SCHIAPARELLI HAUTE COUTURE AND CARTIER
The Puerto Rican musician, nominated for Album of the Year, has never looked hotter. In a black velvet Schiaparelli haute couture tuxedo with criss cross stitching in the back, Benito gave matador-goes-to-the-opera.
9. LADY GAGA IN MATIÈRES FECALES
Now that’s the statement look we’ve been waiting for: Lady Gaga brought drama, silhouette, feathers, and a long train to the red carpet. Mother Monster never disappoints.
10. CHAPPELL ROAN IN MUGLER
The pop star arrived in a caped gown, and left with her dress barely hanging on. Matching her red hair, this daring custom Mugler—inspired by the house’s SS98 couture collection—turned heads, to say the least.
