Ayo Edebiri, Greta Lee, and Dua Lipa are giving us hit after hit.
Not all red carpets are created equal during award season. Obviously the biggest of them all are the Oscars but the run up this year has been full of surprises, with certain celebrities giving us something fresh to enjoy time after time. From Dua Lipa, Margot Robbie, Ayo Edebiri, Hunter Schafer to Colman Domingo, Timothee Chalamet and Jeremy Allen White, those winning the dressing game are equally likely to be clad in gowns as they are suiting. But only a select group has really lingered in our minds. Consider this list our current favorites, in no particular order, subject to change as we get closer to the Academy Awards.
DUA LIPA
Nearly a month into 2024, we’ve witnessed Dua Lipa showcasing two killer looks — Schiaparelli at the Golden Globes and Prada at the Critics Choice Awards.

MARGOT ROBBIE
Lipa’s fellow Barbie, Margot Robbie did not disappoint either, which isn’t a surprise considering how successful her press tour was for the movie. The actress/producer paid homage to the 1977 Superstar Barbie wearing a custom Armani Privé and continued to elevate at Critics Choice wearing another custom gown by Balmain.

AYO EDEBIRI
Perhaps the most exciting rising star of the season is award-winning actress Ayo Edebiri. First seen in Prada at the Golden Globes with a long train, she mixed things up by opting for menswear-inspired separates courtesy of The Row at the Critics Choice Award. And to make it three for three, Edebiri accepted her the Emmy wearing a structural black leather dress by Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière.

HUNTER SCHAFER
Schafer has only appeared in custom Prada at the Golden Globes so far. However, one killer look is strong enough to save a seat for her on the list. It is only safe to assume she will continue to surprise us in the red carpets to come.

COLMAN DOMINGO
Currently, he’s the only actor who made it to the list, but Domingo has clearly come out knowing what he has to bring to the table and it’s nothing dull. The neat Louis Vuitton suits accented with brooches at the Golden Globes and Emmys again were made for visually striking combos while his Valentino look at the Critics Choice Awards shows he knows his way around color.

GRETA LEE
Loewe did Lee justice at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. As one of the latest faces to join the brand’s campaign cast, Lee perfectly translates Jonathan Anderson’s vision of simplicity and sophistication. We can only expect there will be more Loewe moments for her.
