BURBERRY: READY-TO-WEAR SPRING 26

Daniel Lee brought Glasto to Hyde Park.

Under a blue sky–printed tent in Hyde Park’s Kensington Gardens, Daniel Lee put on his own version of a festival — Burberry’s Spring 26 show.

Lee took us back to the Swinging Sixties: shorter, neater silhouettes, slimmer suits, skinny scarves, oversized sunglasses, and lash-skimming hairstyles abound, plus a healthy dose of fringe. Models stomped the dirt runway in Glastonbury-ready boots and bohemian leather sandals to a FROW including Twiggy, Elton John, Skepta, Central Cee, Vanessa Williams, Alexa Chung, Gene and Lennon Gallagher, and Lila Moss.

All the colors of the rainbow were accounted for, in tactile beaded crochets, leathers, coated denims, and waxed cottons. Of course, there was the outerwear: coats printed in tarot cards and check, python-print vegetable-tanned calfskin, paisley laser-cut to mimic lace, or detailed with whipstitching and fringe.

Party frocks dripped with chainmail, beads, and mirrored tiles practically begged for a disco ball, with brightly colored suits and bomber jackets for the boys. It was summer festival season, Burberry style.
