The French jeweler christened their new space with a star-studded evening.
When you get an invitation to Los Angeles with Boucheron, you don’t hesitate—you just go. The French jewelry house has been pushing boundaries since 1858 and now they’ve brought their signature Parisian flair to Rodeo Drive. I knew this was going to be a special celebration. A small group of editors were flown in for a full day of experiences that perfectly captured the brand’s mix of heritage and innovation with a glitzy dose of California flair.
First stop: LACMA. The museum is closed on Wednesdays, but when you’re with Boucheron, things have a way of opening up. We had the place to ourselves for a private tour—no crowds, no noise, just space to actually take in the art. If you’re in LA anytime soon, make sure to see The Day Tomorrow Began by Tavares Strachan. Powerful and layered, the exhibition touches on identity, exploration, and how history is told—or not told. It felt very fitting, seeing that Boucheron’s own story is about reinterpreting tradition in new and unexpected ways.
Next up was exploring the new Rodeo Drive boutique. From the outside, it’s instantly recognizable—elegant but modern, with a nod to Hollywood’s red carpet albeit reimagined in Boucheron’s signature green. Inside, the design details are quietly stunning: straw marquetry, curved lines, and that unmistakable French sense of ease. It’s not flashy, instead the space is refined and personal, making you want to slow down and take everything in. Step foot into the VIP salon, however and you’ll notice the energy shift. Classic portraits, mirrored panels, and a ceiling that sparkles like Los Angeles at night — this cinematic decor is Boucheron’s version of Hollywood glamour. With an atmosphere that’s relaxed yet special, it feels like an afterparty you actually want to stay at.
To end the experience, an evening at the Harvey House. Located in the Hollywood Hills, the John Lautner designed residence has been called an architectural marvel. In Boucheron’s hands, it was transformed for one night only into an immersive installation called A Cutting-Edge Journey Since 1858. A walk through the brand’s 167-year history, it was equal parts a deep appreciation of the arts and the storytelling behind each creation. With a guest list that was peak LA-meets-Paris, the likes of Julianne Moore, Charlotte Le Bon, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laura Dern, and Natasha Lyonne wandered through the space, marveling at the pieces. To cap off the dreamy night: Nile Rodgers & Chic took the stage. Suddenly, the energy shifted as everyone got up to dance. There’s something surreal about hearing “Good Times” live while standing under the dark California sky surrounded by people wearing diamonds. Perhaps Boucheron’s CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne summed up the day best, “it brought the spirit of the brand — creativity, innovation and freedom.”
