Van Cleef & Arpels’ Rockefeller Center installation, Louis Vuitton’s new fragrance, and more.
All eyes were on Milan this week, as Salone del Mobile took over the city, with design installations spanning the worlds of fashion, beauty, travel, and more. With the likes of Bottega Veneta, Dior, Jil Sander, Rimowa, and more setting up eye-catching displays, it was hard to not feel a little envious of those getting in attendance. But for those of us who weren’t in Italy last week comes a timely takeover across the Atlantic courtesy of Van Cleef & Arpels. The jewelry brand has transformed New York City’s Rockefeller Center into their own garden and lake in full bloom, just in time for spring. And speaking of warm weather, more summer collections and campaigns are dropping. From JW Anderson’s playful series filled with crochet and a signature Aloha print to Dolce & Gabbana’s collaboration with Ray-Ban to Louis Vuitton’s newest fragrance, it’s a reminder we’re a mere month out from Memorial Day.

VAN CLEEF & ARPELS TAKE OVER ROCKEFELLER CENTER
Should you find yourself in midtown, make it a point to stop by Van Cleef & Arpels’ immersive installation at the Rockefeller Plaza as envisioned by the brand’s longtime collaborator and illustrator Charlotte Gastaut. A grand entrance will lead visitors down to the rink and over a bridge with curated seating for guests to enjoy the sight of a serene lake. Gastaud will take over the iconic flags that dot the area, transforming them into a flora and fauna story. You’ll also be able to enjoy live contemporary dance performances, children’s storybook readings, poetry readings, live paintings, and photography vignettes.
This is What Summer Should Smell Like
The latest addition to Louis Vuitton’s expansive roster of fragrances is Ambre Levant, which captures the beautiful moment when light softens the horizon. Crafted by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, you’ll find notes of mandarin, warm spices, amber, and incense, as well as a deeply refined oud sourced from Bangladesh. This scent fuses ancestral perfumery traditions with a modern elegance, and sold in an iconic Louis Vuitton glass flacon, Ambre Levant is the scent you’ll definitely want to get your hands on for summer.
A New Bag Joins the Balenciaga Lineup
With the likes of the Rodeo, Le City, and Bolero, Pierpaolo Piccioli has made handbags a key tenet of his vision at Balenciaga. The latest to join the lineup? The Clicca, which was first seen on the spring summer 2026 runway show. With softly folded leather forming a V-shape, the design balances fluidity with precision, adapting easily from shoulder to crossbody wear. Signature details like the sleek gold lock with a subtle B motif and an adjustable strap, mix both function and style. With supple lambskin and suede, and in colors from classic black to rich muscade, the Clicca Bag is definitely one to check out.
Miu Miu Finds the Light
Speaking of summer, Miu Miu’s new seasonal campaign is all about sunlight and shades of blue, where time seems to stretch across languid warm days. Shot by Jeano Edwards and starring a cast including Sateen Besson and Liu Haocun, the images channel a sense of unmatched happiness that one experiences when responsibilities fall by the wayside. Relaxed tailoring in cotton poplin, chambray, and jersey is paired with details like scarves, bows, and delicate trims, balancing preppiness with gentle femininity.
Sombr is Valentino’s New Campaign Star
After being named Valentino’s latest ambassador, Sombr is making the partnership campaign official, starring in the brand’s Pre-Fall ads alongside model Apolline. Set in the quiet Italian town of Bassano in Teverina, the area was once Cy Twombly’s private refuge. Now, the location is reimagined as not just a setting, but a site where the past and present collide. Referencing a 1968 collaboration between art and fashion, the campaign shifts from stillness to charged movement, transforming space into something fluid and alive.
Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban Link Up
No one does a classic pair of aviators quite like Ray-Ban. With the silhouette about to celebrate its 90th anniversary, it’s a testament to its enduring appeal. And what better way to commemorate this milestone than with a designer collaboration? Along with Dolce & Gabbana, the two are releasing two reimagined versions of the Shooter and Outdoorsman II. For the former, you’ll find a mother-of-pearl brow bar and a built-in cigarette holder. With lenses in an array of hues from orange to pink to yellow and blue, it’s sleek and summery. As for the Outdoorsman II, in Dolce & Gabbana’s hands you’ll see a prominent brow bar and an equally as colorful lineup of lenses. To accompany the launch, a campaign shot by Gray Sorrenti that has all of the youthful, vibrant energy you’d expect. Want your own pair? Shop it here.
JW Anderson Taps Into the Aloha Spirit
Jonathan Anderson has a knack for recognizing and uplifting artists who believe in the power of heritage and craft. And for JW Anderson’s summer series capsule collection, that’s no different. Anderson worked with the studio of Dale Hope, who is known for his work preserving Hawaiian aloha shirts and printed artworks, to use an archival print. “Panini o ka Punahou”, which depicts a night blooming flowering cactus, is seen on a shirt and shorts set as well as an off-the-shoulder dress. Besides that playful motif, you’ll also find a nostalgic ode to gold star sticker books in the form of gold and silver stars serving as cheeky censors on images. Other warm weather staples like crochet dresses, nautical striped knits, graphic tees, and vibrant bright evening pieces abound while accessories include the Leaf slide and the The Bulb bag, plus quirky fruit and vegetable charms. With a campaign shot by Tanya and Zhenya Posternak, starring actor Milo Callaghan and models Bruna Souza and Mauria Caetano, it’s a sun soaked dream.

VICTORIA BECKHAM GOES VIRAL WITH GAP COLLAB
Luxury fashion designer Victoria Beckham announces a multi-season partnership with everyone’s favorite brand, Gap. The capsule collections will be informed by Beckham’s elegant, modern designs, making these wardrobe staples available for a broader audience. Consisting of 38-pieces that span denim, khaki, tees, shirting, and fleeces, it’s inspired by utilitarian fashion as well as iconic denim moments from the late ’80s and early ’90s. The team behind the campaign is no less exciting: shot by Mert Alaş and Marcus Piggott, directed by Troy Tyler, with creative direction by Isaac Lock and styling by fashion image consultant Alastair McKimm, it’s a collaboration for the books.
