Brand ambassadors George Clooney and Park Bo-gum were among the famous faces.
As the official timekeeper of the 2026 Winter Olympics, Omega naturally had to celebrate. And what better way than with their own opening ceremony of sorts during the first day of the games? The brand took over Ristorante Cracco, located in the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II as the location of their Omega House, an activation that will remain open for the remainder of the competition. To kick things off they hosted a glamorous, intimate gala attended by the likes of brand ambassadors George Clooney and South Korean actor Park Bo-Gum as well as Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix, Marisa Tomei, and Italian actor Saul Nanni.
Clooney was the star of the show, delighting guests with his trademark charm, joyfully dancing his way into the venue. Having first noticed Omega watches worn by astronauts, the American actor and brand ambassador of nearly 20 years (since 2007!) has long held a passion for the brand. As for his fellow ambassador, Park shared a different take on his connection to the watchmaker: his wide-ranging performances and precision as an actor mirror the excellence and craftsmanship for which the brand is renowned.
But perhaps the most scene stealing moment of the evening came unexpectedly. As the two addressed the crowd, Park was quick to share his excitement at meeting Clooney. Clooney’s response? In his typical self deprecating style, he quipped, “I am 64 years old, and looking at [Park] makes me feel utterly hopeless right now. He looks so good it makes me want to die.” Hopeless? George, you could never be that.
